Richard Artschwager's Celotex Painting of Trent, Portrait of Trent Lott, former United States Senator from Mississippi, is from the Artist's Poliical Portrait Series; Trent was first exhibited at Gagosian Gallery, London in 2003. Haunted by the news of 9/11, Richard Arschwager started the Political Portrait Series in 2002, which included a "smiling, plump-faced Osama bin Laden; a blank George W. Bush" and Trent.
