Damien Hirst created the composition of colored spots in a grid format as a composition that offers endless colored possibilities.
And for the first tiime, as a result of the rich technique of the Woodcut process, Damien Hirst achieves exuberant colors via individual richly inked spots in a size that matches what the Aritst also created on canvas. Recently, The Complete Spot Paintings 1986-2011 was exhibited at 11 galleries worldwide prior to the Tate Modern Retrospective April 4 - September 9, 2012. |
