The
Jasper Johns "Seasons" Suite of 4,
was created in 1987 as a Retrospective of images created by
Jasper Johns as well as ones that he admires,
including the American Flag, the Mona Lisa, George Ohr Pottery,
as well as the Artist’s important homage to Picasso.
The
Jasper Johns "Seasons" Suite of 4,
each a Color Aquatint, is part of a Museum Quality Portfolio
Suite of 4. Each of the 4 Aquatints is published on Somerset
Paper, and can also be viewed in their own right titled; "Spring"
(ULAE 238), "Summer" (ULAE 239),
"Fall" (ULAE 240), "Winter"
(ULAE 241). For reference, each is reporduced in a full page
color page in the Richard Field Catalogue Raisonne: The
Prints of Jasper Johns 1960-1993.
